Hi, I'm Hellen and i am a new contributor to this great group archiffect :groups:

I've been invited to contribute with a series of articles about famous architects through which i want to show the ones around here, dA members, that architecture isn't just engineering, it is the concept that stands beyond a building, it is art actually. I want everyone to see the meaning of architecture.

For now i chose two architects with intriguing and expressive works that could drag the attention of people who don't know much about architecture and impress them for the beginning. Then i will get to more serious stuff.

Here are the links to those articles:
:icontransparentplz::icontransparentplz::gallery::gallery::gallery: Architecture is art - Frank Gehry
:icontransparentplz::icontransparentplz::gallery::gallery::gallery: Architecture is art - Zaha Hadid

For the following articles i would like to choose between Le Corbusier and Santiago Calatrava

Tell me your opinion on which one you like and tell me what do you think about the articles :aww: I am open to any suggestions you may have. Cheers :ahoy:

Perhaps Raymond Hood (1881-1934) who was very proficient in NYC, or Daniel Burnham (1846-1912) who was the great urban planner of Chicago.

Can it be architects of things other than buildings?
Like for instance David Bernard Steinman, architect of the Mackinac Bridge or Gordon Kaufmann, who designed Hoover Dam.

Food for thought :)
